History

Our house looks back on a long tradition of accommodation. Already in 1850, travelers were able to take a break and found shelter and hospitality. Since then, the Hotel-Weingut Dehren is over many generations in family hands. Today we are proud to lead our traditional house in the future.

Designed for the young and old, we offer all the amenities of a modern hotel operation with a very well-known and acclaimed cuisine. You will find comfortable modern rooms, but also a 300 year old vaulted wine cellar.

Sustainability

Sustainability evaluates the social and environmental impact of our actions. Whether individuals, small and large companies or restaurants – everyone leaves a ecological "footprint" and bears social responsibility for our environment.

Dietetics: Our meals are prepared with fresh, regional products. We don`t support using all kinds of "convenience food" and to all non-natural flavor enhancers. On this basis, we can of course to gluten, lactose intolerance and allergies & Co judge. On our menu you will find high quality classic dishes such as deer, roe deer and veal also vegan and vegetarian delicacies.
Sustainable sourcing: Organic farming is a particularly resource-saving and environmentally sound economic system that is based on the principle of sustainability. With the reduced transport distances, which result from the mostly local products, not only the local economy is strengthened, but also unnecessary CO2 avoided.
Welfare is important to us: We order eggs and beef from Allmescher organic farm, which is a few kilometers away from us www.allmescher-biohof.de. Our Fairtrade products we purchase on GEPA and the remaining meat and sausage specialties on our Metzger Schmitt less than 100 meters away from us.
Enviroment: As our guest you have the possibility to use all public transport in the Cochem-Zell district free. Just leave your car in our stand and enjoy the stress-free travel; especially also hereby wonderful hiking tours that start already at our home can connect.

WIBIA e.V.

For some time, with one euro for each booking for a hotel room, we support the non-profit association Wibia e.V., who ist through the private initiative of my brother -Professor Dr. rer nat. Jochen Müller, was initiated in support of development projects in Tanzania in 2004 and is supervised continuously and voluntarily.

Wibia e.V. is a recognized non-profit association dedicated to the support of development projects on the principle of "helping people help themselves" advocates. For this Wibia e.V. promotes humanitarian projects that will improve the living conditions, health care, education and training in so-called developing countries. The starting point for the establishment of the association was and is a school project in Wibia, Tanzania. With these projects, the conditions for life and child-oriented education and training of children from Wibia to be created.
